Desk lamp from Hungary

Worn black bauhaus style desk lamp from hungary by the brand szarvasi vas-fémipari zrt from the 1950s. This model is very similar to the design of marianne brandt. Many bauhaus models were copied and produced in hungary and the czech republic after the war. Some old traces of green paint can still be seen under the black paint. The lamp has been cleaned, provided with a thin layer of clear lacquer and newly twisted fabric cord and plug. The arm is adjustable by means of the bakelite ball joint. H 49 / w 32 / d 18.
