Pair of elephants plant holders Bien Hoa early XXth

Pair of enamelled sandstone elephants, bien hoa, vietnam circa 1900. Beautiful thick green glaze pulling on turquoise. These very decorative objects were once placed on either side of the entrance of the house to bring good luck. They are now more frequently used as stools or plant holders. Very nice asian craftsmanship, not to be confused with later reproductions made for export. Very nice general condition, beautiful patina, state of use (additional photos on request). The photos of these elephants were taken without filter, natural color.
