Amongst the green. Size: 49.5 X 58.5 cm (including frame) Oil on board. A fantastic twentieth century spanish post-impressionist landscape, painted in oil onto board. This piece features a wonderfully expressive landscape, . The artist has used non naturalistic colours in a rich, saturated palette, painted on in broad expressive brushstrokes. A group of white houses with red roofs sit within a green landscape. The artist has captured the dynamism of this landscape through his brushwork and use of colours. The painting is housed in a wide profile gilt frame with several inner windows that complement the painting very well. The painting has some light craquelure to the lower section, as shown in close ups. The frame has losses to the edge and some general scuffing.
