Handmade venetian masks

A pair of handmade and handpainted venetian theatre masks with a classic turn-of-the-century style. There is a mouse and a rabbit, and both have velvet ribbon ties so they can be worn. Made from papier mâché, they are 4mm thick and reasonably durable. Their handpainting is excellent quality and has a lacquered finish. In very good condition, they have a few very small chips to the paint, otherwise very good. No firm historical information, but may have been made balocoloc master artisans, venice. The rabbit measures 34 X 17 cm. The mouse measures 20 X 16 cm. *for delivery to other countries, please message for a quote.
