Daybed "Svanette", Norway, 1960, designers Ingmar Relling and Haldor Vik,

A classic of norwegian design, the svanette sofa was designed by ilmar relling and haldor vik for the svane ekornes factory, produced in the 1960s. The mattress is made on well-preserved, original springs. The wooden extension can be used not only as a handy table or storage space, but it also makes it easy to convert the sofa into a day bed by opening the extension and placing one of the back cushions on it. The seat and cushions have been newly made of foam padding, I.e. High-quality sponge with increased resilience. They are upholstered with high-quality upholstery fabric. The wooden extension is made of teak wood, as is most of the sofa's construction, the back frame is made of beech wood. The whole piece has undergone a complete renovation and has been protected with hard oil-wax which is resistant to dirt and water, and the beech frame has been covered with a semi-matt varnish. In the bed position, the length increases from 161 to 192 cm.
