Legros jean (1917-1981) earth sign, 1972. Geometric shape embossed on arch vellum. Signed lower right and numbered 6/30 lower left. Print run in 30 copies. Dimensions of the work: 28, 3 X 39, 5 cm. With its custom-made mat: 40 x 50 cm. In good condition (small spots, two light folds under the signature - see photos). Provenance: private collection claude bruneteau. Jean Legros is a geometric abstract painter, active during the second half of the twentieth century. In his series of reliefs from which these pieces are derived, is clearly visible the formal influence of the Dadaist painter jen arp, whose assistant he was.
