Antique Windsor Rocking Chair, 1860

This windsor elm rocking chair is probably dating third quarter of the nineteenth century and is in an excellent structural condition considering its age. As you can see the chair has super colour and patina. The saddle seat is made out of one piece and was carefully chosen for its wavy figured elm grain. An obvious warping through use and age evident in the seat which gives it a great charm and a very comfortable sit. Very sturdy, no signs of worm.
