Gers peasant bed

The bed was ordered more than a century ago, by a certain Bourrust near Saint-Girons in Ariège. Annie, one of her granddaughters became a teacher and she followed her husband to Seine et Marne in the 70s. Attached to the memories of her grandfather, she took the bed with her. His mother was born into it. His children heckled on it. Then, widowed, she returned to the countries. Without the bed. I discovered it in 2005 at a second-hand dealer in the Morin Valley. I didn't need it but I bought it for its story. And all my friends passing through our house in the countryside slept in it: a writer, a filmmaker, a cartoonist, ... And a crowd of women and men of all ages, very nice. I have just left the Seine et Marne to settle in Toulouse, near my son and my grandchildren. I took it but couldn't install it. And at 82, we avoid this kind of bed. For a person, a couple perhaps, in love with life and beautiful objects with a story, on the other hand.
