Sideboard by Coene Frères Op'Art vintage 1970

Enfilade / sideboard / sideboard with 4 doors / op'art, designed in the 1970s by the belgian furniture house de coene frères in kortrijk, this production is sometimes attributed to the belgian designer emile veranneman. Made of oak and blackened lacquered sandblasted oak forming an optical circle (typical of the brutalist era of the 70s). Composed of 4 doors including a storage 2 drawers in one of the doors (see photos) and shelves. The entire box is placed recessed on a base covered with a thick sheet of brushed aluminum. In good condition, normal wear and tear due to time and use. Internal dimensions of both drawers: width 44.5cm, depth 35cm, height 10cm. From coene frères (kortrijk): 1887 was the year in which de coene's story began in kortrijk. During the interwar period, the company gained international fame for the production of high-quality wooden art deco furniture. Based on the arts and crafts philosophy, the company will call on great artists and architects, including the painter albert saverys.
