Carpet Pakistanis, Kashmir region, years vintage. Knotted wool shaved and silky hand in the sand/brown/rust tones, cotton weft. At the center of the mat: repetitive patterns of stylized flowers imbedded in hexagonal shapes. On the edge: 3 geometric friezes. Size 3,00 x 1.86 m. weight 12 kg. State of the mat: no sign of wear. Nuances in color dating back to the origin of the carpet (and not due to the Sun) which give it its charm (see photos). Carpet very resistant because of the high density of knotting wool. Very nice & great Eastern room!
