Description
Beautiful flat or empty pockets for a console, then Art Deco, model "honeycomb" stone of Avesn, student of Lalique. I have a vase with these two dishes also on sale here this object surprises by its modernity and its current very design despite its nearly 100 years. His real name Pierre Girre. Stone of Avesn was a student of François Decorchement at the school of Decorative Arts. He was hired at Lalique where he remained for 10 years. He works at Daum between 1930 and 1936 where it will develop the production of pressed Glass moulded Lorrain Nancy signed productions Department. He joined the company Verlys in 1937 in the Department of the Andelys glassware Hollophane glasses. After 1945 it is found in the Crystal of Choisy the King where he is reissuing its models alumni and creates new ones. He remained there until his retirement in 1984. Considered the elite of the last glass of the period Art deco, he died in Paris at the age of 90.
