Executive Tulip armchair by Eero Saarinen for Knoll 1964

On sale this rare model of Chair Tulip on wheels, designed by Eero Saarinen, and after information from Knoll.com, is having only (and briefly) was produced by Knoll International in France in the early 1960s (not Knoll USA equivalent). The Chair (1964 edition) shows signs of life (see photos) but I preferred not to renovate it so that it does not lose its authenticity and charm. The tilt, the system was of the crash and a previous owner has seen fit to solve the problem by blocking the Chair in a normal sitting position (via the bolt in picture). It is always possible to remove it and recline, but without 'retarder system'. Moreover, a part of the base was cracked and has been repaired/consolidated by means of a metal plate added between the base and the base. The whole is quite strong and the invisible crack because under the seat. Finally, the wheels (stamped Knoll International) work flawlessly and the cushion is new. In summary, an armchair iconic found casi, a price well below its side, has given 2 imperfections (tilt and crack).
