Stool in Wicker, safe seat of Fisherman fishing

This former fisherman Wicker stool, 50s, probably, is quite rare and original with its form fitted on one side, its golden clasp and its pretty strands of colors red and green, yet well to live that give it a charm. It consists of a black leatherette seat studded around the edge, a floor to small things, wooden, separated into several compartments and a wicker trunk. Overall is still strong and stable. I cleaned it with the utmost care and treated him against beetles (with white vinegar). I fed the leatherette seat to give it a bit of flexibility. Under the dark patina which suggested that the clasp was iron, I discovered what I think to be bronze, in any case a nice Golden Tan color (I left a bit of dark patina, to you to see if you want to leave, or shining metal full ). Despite cleaning and sanding, some tasks remained at the bottom (the ink seems to me), so I painted the bottom, inside, with a black lacquer (A + for VOC). And to harmonize, I also painted in black the small compartments. Ideal to see small objects (necessary to couture, jewelry etc). I also put a very thin layer of matte varnish on the Wicker (almost invisible). The kinks that come with age, but who are also all the charm of the old: the skai is original, it is more flexible, has small spots, marks and scratches. A corner is hackneyed. The small clasp holding the base closed on the part of the bottom is missing. (see photos) The floor of the small compartments, missing a small separation. The trunk Wicker presents a small hole due to a bit of broken Wicker (see photos) and two or three old stains of paint. The bentwood, inside the trunk, has a small repaired crack it there ' for a long time with a nail. It measures 38 cm long, 25 cm wide with a height of 34 cm. It weighs about 2.7 kg.
