Adorable little pitcher, a milk jug certainly, in brown stoneware with a beautiful enamel in shades of gray, blue, brown. A fine work of turning, modeling and enameling, fruit of the artisanal work of the couple of ceramists chantal and thierry robert who signed atch, in their workshop "le grès du loir". A little forgotten in the history of ceramics, they were nevertheless very active and innovative from the 60s and up to the 90s, in poncé-sur-loir. Here, the signature below was made by hand in hollow in the stoneware and not with a stamp as is often the case, it is I suppose a ceramic made quite early, at the beginning of the 60s, before these ceramists had a stamp made. This pot is in good general condition, no cracks, just a small chip, very little visible, on the spout. It measures 8 cm in height and 10 cm in width from the belly to the handle. I also offer other ceramics signed atch (a covered pot with its spoon already online, and a larger covered pot which will arrive shortly), do not hesitate to contact me if you wish to order several so that I can adjust the shipping costs.
