Wool kilim moldovan carpet 195x280cm

Kilim moldovan, wool, 1960-70, in very good condition. Kilim with a floral motif on a black background, a lighter medallion brightens the entire kilim. A few abraches (change of wool bath) give an authentic side to this original kilim. The influence comes from the damascus rose whose rose motif inspired the sefevid carpets, which in turn influenced european tapestries. At the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, the gul farangi motif, which means pink or flower of france, can be found in the east on the carpets and kilims of the karabagh (caucasus), on some iranian carpets such as bidjars and bakthiars from the village of faradoumbeh, as well as on the moldovan kilims of the balkans.the art of weaving carpets and kilims is very old in the slavic countries and the balkans, not least because of the conquests of the ottoman empire from the middle of the 14th century.  Only one defect photographed, nothing serious.
