Italian suspension - 1970s
Italian suspension, from the 1970s. A remarkable Italian suspension dating from the 1970s, consisting of a sculptural arrangement of three light sources suspended beneath a large, deep red disk-shaped shade. Each suspension features a cylindrical shade made of white lacquered metal, pierced with small perforations near the lower edge, and finished with a distinctive faceted clear glass diffuser. The three elements are suspended at different heights, creating an elegant and asymmetrical composition that adds a strong sense of movement to the room. Its geometric shapes and contrasting materials give the chandelier a clearly Space Age / Mid-Century inspired aesthetic, while the playful arrangement of the individual suspensions adds a sculptural, almost kinetic quality.
