Large Empire guéridon, rotating marble top.
Magnificent side table from the early 19th century, Empire style and period, mixing solid mahogany wood and a beautiful marble decorated with natural lines. This exceptional piece features a rotating top that still works with its original mechanism. Its central base is imposing and ends with three carefully sculpted branches. The legs, representing feline claws, still have their small period metal casters. The top is a gray marble disk with white veins, measuring 98 cm in diameter. Molded and polished marble showing high-quality craftsmanship. It is an antique and authentic piece, full of character, ideal for decorating an elegant living room or entrance. Due to its size, this piece could serve as a dining table, but it should be noted that the rotating system causes the top to wobble slightly under pressure. The top is simply placed, allowing it to be removed for easier transport. There are discreet signs of wear on the wood surface, with a small missing strip at the bottom of the frieze. The marble is in very good condition. Dimensions: 98 cm in diameter. 73 cm in height at the top. 65 cm in height under the frieze. Marble Ø98 cm, 25 mm thick.
