3160 – art deco earthenware vase – charles catteau (1880-1966) from the art deco period, this magnificent ovoid-shaped vase in cracked enameled earthenware, cream white in color with rotating decoration of geometric motifs, made under the direct control of the most important belgian ceramist charles catteau (1880-1966) at the famous boch factory in la louvière (as were the shapes between n° 903 and n° 1367). Signed cc in hollow (for catteau) on the heel with the number 1118. This model is well listed in the work entitled "art deco ceramics by marc pairon fondation charles catteau de 2006" (see photos). This number also allows us to date it according to the chronological table of his works precisely from 1930. In good condition. No major cracks or chips, just with its small defects from normal use. Beautiful, essential version for the passionate collector of the rich work of this belgian master ceramist. Height 285mm X 176mm. Weight 1540 g.
