Description
An iconic “Regina D’ Africa” (Queen of Africa) chair with matching stool designed by Vico Magistretti, manufactured by Alias in Italy around 1970. The set contains one lounge chair and one stool, both foldable and made of high quality beech wood with off-white canvas seats, backs and armrests. This eye-catching set is part of the “Broomstick” series from the late 1970s. They have only been in production for a short period and therefore this unique set is a rare and valuable find! The canvas provides a fantastic seating comfort, while the folding structure of the pieces allows easy storage and movability. Labeled twice on the frame as shown in photos. Size of the chair: W. 90 x D. 60 x H. 122 (SH. 42) cm Size of the ottoman: W. 88 x D. 48 x H. 44 cm Sold as a set – the price is for both pieces together. The chairs remain in good vintage condition with some wear consistent with age and use, preserving a wonderful vintage patina. They have been used but are structurally still completely good and have no notable marks or damages. The fabric is still fully intact and the padding is good and soft. The folding mechanism still works perfectly!
