Ancient French oak table | Rustic console | 19th century

This antique French workbench from the 19th century has been transformed into a practical console while retaining its original character. The top is made of solid oak, 10 cm thick, with a beautiful natural patina. Decades of use have left marks from tools, notches, knots, shrinkage cracks, and traces of old woodworm, contributing to its authentic appearance. The base is made of solid chestnut. The original wooden vice is still present, along with a small drawer located on the side of the vice. A lower crossbar along the entire length provides additional storage or display space. The workbench is sturdy and suitable for daily use as a console, kitchen island, display table, or shop counter. Condition: Good antique condition with age-related wear. The top shows old repairs, surface wear, traces of old woodworm, and natural cracks. Origin: France. Period: 19th century.
