19th century world map globe by J. Forest

Very nice terrestrial globe or world map, drawn up by the geographer J.Forest, authentic from the late 19th, early 20th century. Base in light turned wood very similar to pear wood. The globe in lithographed paper is mounted on the inclined polar axis, in brass. The paper, the colors, the inscriptions are in good used condition, otherwise a trace of visible tear, this was glued back rather cleanly. This globe is perfect for decorating an office, a library or a living room, and to offer, a true object of art and history.
