Vintage candlestick Poteries Maine Sars-Poteries, 1950s-1970s

Beautiful large hand-held candlestick in artistic ceramic from Poteries Maine in Sars-Poteries, signed on two sides of the base. Vintage from the 1950s-1970s. Beautiful sculptural shape with a wide flared base, generous handle, and high bulging neck finished with a trumpet-shaped opening. Very nice glossy black glaze animated by irregular drips of green and pale turquoise descending on the base. A small manufacturing hole is present near the base of the handle; the item cannot hold water. 19.7 cm high, approximately 15 cm maximum width with the handle, 12 cm maximum diameter at the base. Very good overall condition, with a missing area of glaze on one side of the base, likely due to rubbing or previous sanding, as well as a small firing defect at the bottom of the handle, both discreet. Approximately 700 g.
