Description
Rare ceramic zoomorphic dish, from the 50s and 60s, featuring a stingray (or tile). It is signed below: r delarue desvres, for the reborn ceramicist delarue (1912-1997). This ceramicist worked with geo hammer, before opening his earthenware in 1947 at longditch, where he directed up to fifteen workers to create earthenware entirely handmade. He collaborated with the spanish painter vincente gil franco (1898-1959), a refugee in boulogne-sur-mer, to create original pieces on the theme of fishing and the sea. This is most certainly a unique piece (source livia antiques). Beautiful ceramics in very good condition. Dimensions: length 32 cm // width 15, 5 cm // weight 722 g.
