Set of 6 dining chairs Medea fully restored by Vitorio Nobili for Fratelli Tagliabue in wood and metal, Italy, 1955. Two with armrests. We all know them; it's a very iconic set of chairs. Rounded shapes and a natural appearance, combined with a good balance of materials, make this set one of the icons of mid-century Italian modernist design. An elegant chair and a true piece of art, light, wooden, and organic. Fratelli Tagliabue was one of the first to work with bent plywood, using steam and a mold to create perfect curves. Quite innovative for the time. It evokes the old Riva boats off the coast of Capri, Italy. The set has been fully restored by us. Days of sanding and lacquering, while of course preserving the original patina. The result: a fresh and elegant set of 6, a safe choice for anyone wanting character in their home. Note: the armrest measures 66 cm in height if you wish to slide it under the table, which works. Dimensions Width: 61 cm Height: 79 cm
