Napoleon III Mirror, Circa 1880

Maison Lecan presents this superb Napoleon III mirror, circa 1880, with original mercury glass. Its blackened wooden frame is finely decorated with gilded floral motifs and raised pearls, emblematic of the Second Empire style. The sculpted pediment, decorated with palmettes and scrolls, gives it a refined character. Completely restored a few years ago, this mirror is paneled on the back. The glass is in beautiful vintage condition, revealing a few rare mercury pits that give it its period charm. A piece of character, ideal for enhancing a fireplace, an entrance hall or a bedroom.
