Pair of Empire-Restoration period armchairs in mahogany

Pair of Empire-Restoration period armchairs in mahogany, resting on front legs with a sheath design and sabre back legs. The sculpted scroll arms add a great deal of elegance and character to the whole. The straight backs and generous seats are covered in mustard yellow velvet, highlighted with a nailhead trim. Very nice patina of the wood and understated lines typical of furniture from the Empire-Restoration period. French work from the 19th century of fine quality, ideal as extra seating, for a living room or office. Dimensions: Height: 91 cm. Width: 60 cm. Depth: 62 cm. Good overall condition with slight signs of use consistent with age. Upholstery and fabric in good condition for use.
