Modernist Landscape by John Börén, Oil on Panel, Framed, Signed, 1960's

John august gustaf börén, born june 6, 1903 in malmö karoli parish, died there january 22, 1983, was a swedish painter. As an artist, börén was self-taught and conducted self-study during trips to italy and france. He exhibited regularly in skåne's art association exhibitions since 1932 and with hörby art association and with the group de tolv. Separately, he exhibited in trelleborg and malmö. His art consists of still lifes with flowers and fruits, interiors and well-balanced landscapes often with motifs from scania in oil, tempera, pastel, watercolor or wax crayons. Börén is represented with gouaches at the malmö museum and with the painting tobacco flower at the southeast scania museum of art in tomelilla.
