Pair of Louis XVI style caned Bergère armchairs

Pair of 20th century armchairs. Louis XVI style cane armchair with flat square back. Removable cushion covers generously padded with feathers at the back and seat (a photo of the cushions without their cover is visible in the photo gallery). Armrests with inverted console cuffs, the fabric of the armrests is not original, they were very stained and frayed: a linen-colored fabric was chosen to replace them, double piping finish of the same color. Fabric of the original belt and cushions. Low, straight, tapered and fluted feet. Canework in good condition (only one small defect photographed). Original off-white painted wooden structure with slight traces of use which gives them a lot of charm. Dimensions: d 80 cm, l 60 cm h 90 cm. Seat: d 45 cm, l 55 cm, h 45 cm. P43.
