Art Deco buffet with 3 doors in solid oak – 1930s
Low buffet in solid oak with three doors, in French Art Deco style, dating from the 1930s. It features a particularly refined mixed sculpted decor: geometric diamond patterns on the side doors, naturalistic floral sculpture (berries and intertwined stems) on the central door. The two turned cylindrical uprights separating the doors rhythm the facade, while the lower apron is adorned with a lobed cutout. The scroll feet are characteristic of furniture from this period. The interior reveals two compartments, each equipped with a shelf, made of lighter secondary wood. The oak top displays a beautiful old patina, with a visible circular mark on the surface (heat trace). A numbering on the back (w 21) suggests an institutional origin. Wear is visible and honest: rubbed corners, slight wear at the bottom of the feet, giving this piece of furniture an authentic character and a natural period patina. Dimensions: H. 105 cm × L. 171 cm × D. 53 cm – Weight: approximately 50 kg.
