This small wrought iron table with a mirror top dates from the 1950s. With its beautifully crafted base and easy-to-live-with proportions, it is one of those small antique pieces that can be adopted without having to reorganise the entire house. The structure is made of black wrought iron, featuring lovely decorative work and some slightly different patina nuances that add depth to the whole. The mirror top is removable and simply sits on the base. The mirror shows some light signs of age, discreet and consistent with its years. We are looking at a table that is about 70 years old, not a young lady freshly out of the factory. The whole remains in good condition, solid and well-made. With a diameter of 56 cm and a height of 48 cm, it can serve as a small side table in a living room, fit into an entrance, accompany an armchair, or find its place in a bedroom as an elegant small table. The mirror top adds that little extra touch very typical of the 50s: it captures light, reflects the objects placed on it, and immediately gives the table more presence. An antique lamp, a few books, a lovely ceramic piece... and frankly, it doesn’t need anything more. The wrought iron provides a graphic and slightly airy line, while the mirror adds a more precious note. It is an authentic vintage small table, marked enough to have character but simple enough to blend easily with contemporary decor as well as with a home filled with antique pieces. This table is in good condition, including the mirror top; of course, this table is not new and may have some light signs of age, which also contribute to its authenticity.
