Set of 3 vintage bistro jugs in flame stoneware – Revol style

Magnificent trio of glazed stoneware jugs, typical of the table art of French bistros and brasseries from the 1960s/1970s. Their barrel-shaped, two-tone design is very expressive: a chocolate brown base with textured relief, topped with a white "foam" flowing glaze, an organic effect highly sought after that recalls the Fat Lava style. Although this series bears no visible signature or stamp under the base, their iconic shape and the quality of their glazing are characteristic of the famous "Barilo" model from the French manufacturer Revol. Flamed glazed stoneware. Set of 3 pieces in decreasing sizes. Capacities: 50 cl (the large), 33 cl (the medium), and 25 cl (the small). Jugs of 50 cl and 33 cl: In superb vintage condition. The glaze has retained all its shine. No cracks or chips. The 25 cl jug: Shows a visible usage chip (please observe the photos), which does not detract from the charm of the whole and its use in decoration. This decreasing lot offers numerous possibilities. They will be perfect on a country table for serving wine, water, or cider, but also stunning repurposed as vases or simply accumulated on a shelf for a rustic and warm kitchen decoration.
