Jaget Pinon Factory in Tours. Pair of earthenware vases. Art Deco, around 1925. Mark underneath. Golden decoration on a blue Sèvres background of cornucopias with ribbons. Height: 30.6 cm. Very good condition, some chips on the foot of one vase. This famous art pottery from Touraine was founded in 1901. During the interwar period, it gained immense fame by specializing in neoclassical and Art Deco shaped pieces, combining deep blue enamels (similar to Sèvres or Limoges blue) with rich decorations enhanced with fine gold.
