Console design – Unique piece – Wood from old boats

Contemporary console as a unique piece by designer Christian NESLER, acquired in 2007 from the Maalkita gallery. The console consists of a steel structure with a galvanised finish, a glass top, and a central composition made from fragments of wood from old painted boats. The various layers of paint, weathered by time and the elements, form a mosaic in shades of blue, white, grey, and ochre. The glass highlights this compositional work as a true graphic artwork, with each fragment telling a part of the material's story. Designer: Christian NESLER.
