Maison regain was a manufacturer of furniture in france during the 60s, 70s and 80s, mostly involved in the production of elm furniture. Maison regain originated in the haute-alpes region in france, a region with a surplus of elm trees. Maison regain (whereby regain stands for the word “elm” in french) designed brutalistic looking furniture produced in solid elm wood with a sturdy finish. They produced furniture in all shapes and sizes, such as sofas, armchairs, dining chairs, dining and coffee tables, wall systems and credenzas. The quality of their furniture is impeccable and the maison regain pieces are often seen in the same light as pierre chapo. Nowadays, their pieces are much sought after due to their quality and their brutalist look, in particular the roland haeusler designed pieces. This specific sideboard has 3 large cabinet doors. Every cabinet is subdivided with boards and one of the cabinets has 2 sliding drawers build in. The sideboard is in fully original condition and its authenticity can be easily verified through archival records. The entire sideboard is built extremely solid. The cabinet doors have a patterned design that is particular for maison regain. Through archival records the authenticity can be easily traced. In original condition, with only limited traces of use.
