Pair of very large table lamps from the 1960s-70s, designed by einar johansen. The lower part of the lamps is glazed in brown with olive-ochre-yellow accents and decorated with a "v" pattern. The upper part is unglazed and has the natural color of the clay. Model no. 3016, manufactured by søholm stentøj (soholm pottery) on the island of bornholm, denmark. Attributed to einar johansen. Rare. Søholm stentøj, meaning soholm stoneware, was founded in 1835 by herman sonne wolffsen and edvard sonne. By the mid-20th century, søholm produced a wide range of stoneware in a variety of patterns and shapes. Several designers have worked for søholm stentøj such as einar johansen, maria philippi, noomi backhausen among others. The lamps are signed by the manufacturer's brand. New electrification, new lampshades (diameter 42.5cm) height including socket 49.5cm / total height 71cm. Lamp base diameter 20 cm.
