Jersey earthenware pitcher. It is a glossy, enamelled and here, finely decorated fiancee. It is native to the staffordshire region of the united kingdom and manufactured between 1805 and 1875. It was brought back by the french sailors because it was highly sought after during the restoration. It transited through the island of jersey, hence its name. This pitcher and another undated, were given to a member of my family by an old sailor who lived in boulogne sur mer. It is in good condition, in original condition and has some small irregularities or asperities of origin.
