Description
Rare Central Park cocktail table designed in 1983 by Ettore Sottsass for Knoll Studio, comprising a floating, Emperador Dark marble base and eight Nero Marquina marble columns with inset hemispheres supporting a glass top. Part of Sottsass’ first series of designs for Knoll, alongside his Eastside and Westside seating collections, the table’s restrained form is modernist in spite of its anti-design creator, while its columnar supports act as subtle reference to Sottsass’ totems and prolific use of primitive and ancient forms. In production until 1991, the table was offered in three different sizes. The table got sign's of use and some chip's of the marble as you can see on the picture's. 3 colums are losse but when you stick them in and the glass stands on it its rock solid. The glas some small scatch wats normal after more than 30years -;). Its a true rare colecteble from a amasing designer
