Superb antique console table in Louis XV style, with a curved front, made of fine marquetry and topped with a pink veined marble surface that perfectly follows the shaped contours of the piece. The front is adorned with a central marquetry panel featuring floral and vegetal decorations, enriched with two facing birds, a refined motif typical of decorative furniture from the late 19th century. The decoration is framed by marquetry inlays and highlighted by a play of contrasting veneers arranged in herringbone and frieze patterns. The piece opens with a curved door revealing an interior fitted with several fixed shelves, providing practical storage space while maintaining great visual elegance. A discreet upper drawer completes the ensemble. The rounded uprights, the shaped apron, and the cabriole legs ending in bronze sabot highlight the Louis XV inspiration. The lock entries, handles, and bronze ornaments enhance this characterful piece. Very good overall condition for an antique piece. Some signs of use and slight marks of time are visible in places, without affecting the structure or overall aesthetics. The marble is in very good condition, with minor wear consistent with age. The piece is stable, with a functional door and drawer. This console table is a strong decorative piece, ideal for bringing elegance and authenticity to an interior.
