Pair of 620 series armchairs by Dieter Rams for Vitsoe

Dieter rams, born may 20, 1932 in wiesbaden, is a contemporary german industrial designer, closely associated with the consumer products of the braun company and the functionalist school of industrial design. Dieter rams designed the 620 chair program as a modular kit. Separate chairs can become a sofa; a low folder can be replaced by a high folder; and a swivel base can replace casters and feet. Dieter rams explains that he wanted to "get the comfort of a classic chair while remaining visually light". This set consists of a pair of low-backed chairs, with a white fiberglass shell and colorful textured upholstery.
