Saint-Hubert Sideboard in Burr Walnut, Late 19th Century

This piece of furniture is called Saint-Hubert, after the first name of the young nobleman Hubert, who was passionate about hunting. Legend has it that a crucifix appeared to him one Good Friday between the antlers of a deer during a hunting trip. Saint-Hubert thus gave his name to a very specific sideboard intended for hunters. This sideboard, made of burr walnut from the late 19th century, includes a large body with double doors at the bottom, which, when opened, reveal a shelf. The storage space is substantial.
