Pair of 1950s mahogany bedside tables with a door and a drawer

A stunning pair of vintage bedside tables dating back to the 1950s, characterized by a refined, understated design featuring soft lines, compact proportions, and decorative details evocative of post-war Italian furniture. The wood displays a rich, reddish-brown hue, with prominent vertical grain patterns that enhance the surfaces and add depth to the pieces. Based on the grain and coloration, the wood appears to be mahogany—or a veneer of a similar species—though this identification is speculative, as it cannot be confirmed with certainty from photographs alone. Each bedside table includes a convenient top drawer and a lower compartment enclosed by a door, providing a functional storage solution for personal items. The brass-toned metal handles, with their delicate, sinuous shapes, create a pleasing contrast against the dark wood. A distinctive feature is the use of glossy black lacquer on the top and bottom edges, which frames the structure and accentuates its rounded forms. The slender, tapered legs—also finished in black—visually lighten the overall volume, lending the pieces a quintessential Mid-Century aesthetic. The bedside tables show normal signs of wear consistent with their age and use. Free shipping in France, possibility of shipping throughout Europe and worldwide. Ask for a quote.
