Lot 2 Glasses cup bubbled glass BIOT - Acid yellow glass Photophore VINTAGE

This set of two delightful cups is made of amber yellow bubbled glass. These glasses can be used for strong alcohols: liqueurs, arranged rums, cognac. They can also be diverted into a photophore. The color is warm and beautiful, pulling almost towards gold, as there are so many bubbles in the glass. These glasses are blown in the mouth according to an artisanal technique characteristic of biot's glassware. We see, at the base, the trace of the break of the cane to blow the glass. Biot's bubbled glass has existed since 1956, so glassmakers succeed in creating bubble glass: by mastering the bubble, by impregnating it between two layers of glass, thus making a defect a quality. Between tradition and creation, each biot glassworks is unique, because blown in the mouth by the master glassmakers. Depending on the season, the products are available in all colors: sand pink, linden, amethyst, persian blue... Pastel and sparkling colors at the same time. In good condition, these cups measure 5.8 cm in height. They are not signed.
