Unique porcelain piece resulting from the collaboration between the norwegian porcelain manufacturer figgjo and the swiss artist, carlo lischetti. This dish is the first product for this model designed by the artist. It was signed by the artist in 1992 and features the inscription "zum undenken an die ertbesteigung dieses tellers". Stamped on the reverse "ff figgjo norway", plaza, design: figgjo". For more information on figgjo and carlos eduardo lischetti, see the bottom of the ad. Diameter of 30 cm weight of 911 grams figgjo was founded by harald lima and sigurd figved in 1941 as a small-scale pottery workshop; in 1946, designer and ceramicist ragnar grimsrud (1902-1988) became co-owner and managing director of figgjo. Figgjo tableware from the 1960s and 1970s continues to 'being highly collectible alongside his more recent offerings, with examples featured in the decorative arts collections of the national gallery of victoria and the indianapolis museum of art. Carlos eduardo lischetti (1946–2005) was a swiss artist (video maker, performer and word juggler) the painter, sculptor and action artist made a name for himself through highly publicized actions between 1970 and 1990. The “dancing bear” near the bear park is now part of the urban landscape. Less known, the “dancing street sweepers” are a tribute to the cleaning workers who often remain anonymous.
