Tableau, oil on panel "The Wonder" Charles Édouard ELMERICH (1813-1889)

Oil painting on wood panel depicting a scene of wonder from new parents facing a pram. Signed Elmerich for Charles Edouard Elmerich (1813-1889), a well-documented artist (present at the Musée d'Orsay, see attached brief bio, sale record at 12,000 euros) whose works remain rare on the market. Excellent quality, the varnish may need cleaning (some discreet inconsistencies in shine, dirt on the extreme edges, wear on the corner of the chest of drawers). Presented in an antique frame (note some restorations to the frame) - everything is visible in the photos, which are contractual. Dimensions of the panel: 26.5 / 27 cm, with frame: 41.5 / 42 cm.
