Silver flexible articulated lamp

This pretty silver metal desk lamp, in an industrial style, is also very practical with its largely flexible arm and switch on the base. It also has the advantage of having a very long power cable (about 3.6m) and a notch is provided under the base to fix it in wall application. It is also this very long cable that made me wonder, as well as the thick metal under the base, covered with a hammered effect lacquer typical of office equipment of the 50s and 60s, while the rest of the lamp seemed a little less old... I still don't know what is original or not, whether it was produced that way or if anyone has rewired or modified it. But I did well to push the inspection a little further. Indeed, although it worked very well, the connections (in the base) were not far from letting go! So I opened the base, cleaned the connections (on the domino) and I took the opportunity to add a small white rubber ring that was absent, it will protect the cable at its output on the base and prevent it from being damaged by rubbing on the metal. It is equipped with a bayonet bulb socket. It therefore works perfectly, it is solid and stable, but shows some signs of its age: the white lacquer in the lampshade has yellowed a little in places, the silver metal has some marks and stripes. The cable is about 3.6 m long, the base has a diameter of 13 cm, the lamp is about 40 cm high, the lampshade has a maximum diameter of 13.5 cm. It weighs about 600g.
