Pierre d'avesn (1901-1990) is a sculptor who made art deco models and decorations in an industrial way in art glass molded to the press. He studied at the ecole des arts décoratifs in paris at the time when françois decorchemont was teaching there. René lalique hired him at the age of 14. He stayed 10 years in his company to then set up his own business. He will work with cristalleries saint rémy to produce parts in his own molds. From 1928 to 1934, he worked at daum (verrerie belle étoile de croismare) as a decorative artist to develop the production of molded, pressed and blown glasses. He will sign them davesn/lorrain. These flared vases are decorated with honeycomb decoration. They are signed, traces of wear of uses on the base. Size: Height: 18cm. Neck width: 17cm. Base width: 9.2 cm.
