Set of five chairs No. 20, called omega by Mundus-Wien, around 1910.la Mundus company created in 1907 is the merger of some small manufacturers specializing in bentwood of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, the best known are: Josef Hofmann, Josias Eissler, Fiume, Flaschner or Harnisch. Obviously this batch is a Hofmann manufacture from Bielitz, each factory producing its own models sold under the Mundus brand. Beautiful workmanship and excellent condition. Beautiful honey blond patina. Stamps and labels. Seat diameter: 41cm, seat height: 47 cm total height: 92 cm. The thermoformed seat of this lot is No. XXI designed by Kohn in 1900, a great classic of sobriety of the 1900s. They are all in the state of the one photographed.
