Magnificent légumier from the manufacture of vierzon (cher, centre val de loire) at the end of the XIX century. In very good condition, neither cracks, nor breaches, with some erasures of gilding on the handles due to the wear of time. Note the presence of a subtle reminder of a blueberry flower on the inner part of the lid. A little history on the manufacture of vierzon... The city of vierzon was one of the high places of porcelain manufacture during the second period of the nineteenth to the beginning of the XX th, going so far as to compete with the famous porcelain of sèvres. It was in 1854, that adolphe hache was going to take over the manufacture of bel air (already existing since the beginning of the 1800s) to make it gain in quality and produce very beautiful pieces that we would find on the largest parisian tables. In this right respect, adolphe hache even went so far as to produce some unique pieces personalized at the request of emperor napoleon iii, who ended up handing him the legion of honor in 1867...
