Candle holder signed Natoli from Vallauris

Here is a very beautiful ceramic piece, a candlestick with a dish, handle, and base, covered in a lovely grey and brown glaze and adorned with a blue and green flower. This candlestick is signed Natoli on the base. Natoli was a family workshop in Vallauris that started by creating decorated and signed pieces like this one, often for florists, bakers, and shops that offered wedding lists... Then, when demand decreased, probably in the 1980s, Natoli began creating biscuit pieces that were then sent to other recognised workshops in Vallauris to be decorated and glazed. The Natoli workshop was one of the largest in Vallauris and was visited by many tourists. As a side note, this workshop even had a parking area for coaches! This workshop closed permanently in 2006, but the daughter of one of the founders, Natoli Robert, continues the family know-how (Céramique Dominique NB workshop). Therefore, this candlestick probably dates from the 1960s or 70s. It is a decorative piece in its own right, of a good size, with lovely lines and an original design for a candlestick. It is in very good condition, with no cracks or chips, just a small invisible nick as it is located under the base of the foot. It measures 13.5 cm in height at the receptacle, 18 cm in height including the handle, 18 cm in length, and 12.5 cm in width.
