Period: ca. 1890-1910. It is a medium-sized sandstone vase with a color as striking as its shape. This model existed in small, medium and large versions. Three tentacle-shaped handles emanate from a globular neck and tilt towards the base of the vase. The handles are grooved. The green color ranges from apple green to khaki green. The surface of the sandstone is quite rough and has a rustic appearance. This rustic aspect is typical of the early art nouveau that succeeded the arts & crafts movement, which focused on old-fashioned craftsmanship. Unfortunately, as is often the case with belgian pottery from this period, it is difficult to assign it to a particular manufacturer. This one has an owl image on the base, but it was not possible to associate it with a manufacturer. Condition: very good. No damage.
